A Decade of Print: How a 15-Square-Meter Dream Became One of Luzon’s Most Trusted Printing & Signage Companies
The story of BesCost, its humble beginnings, and the Filipino grit behind 10 years of service.
When people see a finished signage — a bright panaflex lightbox, an acrylic build-up shining over a new café, a stainless-letter wall at a clinic — they rarely think of the company that made it, much less the story behind it.
But in Baesa, Quezon City, the story of one of Luzon’s most trusted printing and signage providers began in a space no larger than a bedroom.
This is the journey of BesCost Digital Printing — now celebrating 10 years in business — and the founder who built it from the ground up, one design, one delivery, and one customer at a time.
2015: A 15-Square-Meter Beginning
In 2015, before BesCost was known across Luzon, it was simply Bes Print, a modest operation founded by Jim Lester Besinio, a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer (ECE) from De La Salle University–Manila.
He started with an initial investment of ₱1,000,000, funded by Jimbes Printing, the family’s mother company. The business had one digital printer, one large-format machine, and a tiny rented space — just 15 square meters — along Quirino Highway in Baesa.
There was no team.
No departments.
No divisions.
Jim was the team.
He was the designer, the machine operator, the messenger, the deliveryman, the installer, the accountant, the sales department, and the customer service representative — all at once.
He would talk to clients in the morning, create layouts at noon, operate the machines in the afternoon, and deliver materials at night. Some days, he’d end them on top of a ladder, installing signage under the heat or the rain.
Those early years were exhausting, messy, and filled with trial and error — but they built the foundation of what BesCost would later become.
From Simple Prints to Full-Scale Production
Word spread quickly around Baesa and Quezon City. People noticed the consistency, the quality, and the sincerity in service.
A small digital print here.
A tarpaulin there.
Then a signage request.
Then a bulk order.
Soon, the 15 sqm shop could no longer fit the machines, materials, and growing customer base. As demand grew, so did Bes Print — evolving into BesCost, expanding capabilities into:
large-format UV and solvent printing
signage fabrication (panaflex, acrylic, stainless, brass, neon)
offset printing for high-volume corporate materials
digital printing for SMEs
engraving and specialty production
installation services
What began as a neighborhood print shop slowly became a full-service partner for businesses across Luzon.

Building Trust the Hard Way: One Project at a Time
While some companies grow through rapid expansion, BesCost grew the old-fashioned way:
Through trust.
Entrepreneurs recommended the brand after discovering how fast and reliable the service was.
Franchise owners referred BesCost to other franchisees.
Startups that began with a single tarp returned years later with full branding packages.
BesCost’s materials appeared on new cafés, clinics, retail shops, delivery vehicles, commercial booths, events, and corporate expansions. The demand for consistent large-format materials pushed the company to upgrade machines, expand its workforce, and strengthen its production systems.
Today, after a decade, BesCost has completed over 8,000 printing and signage projects nationwide — a scale Jim never imagined when he stood inside that 15 sqm shop back in 2015.
The Turning Point: Modernizing the Industry
As BesCost grew, one challenge became impossible to ignore:
SMEs constantly needed quotations — and needed them fast.
Store owners would message late at night asking:
“Magkano signage ko?”
“How much is 3x4ft acrylic?”
“Pwede pa-quote ng 20 menu boards?”
And like every printing company in the country, BesCost struggled with the same bottleneck: manual quoting.
It slowed everyone down — the team, the clients, and the planning process.
In 2025, the company decided to change that.
BesCost developed and launched the Philippines’ first Multi-Product Auto-Quotation Tool.
A tool that computes in seconds:
panaflex
acrylic & stainless letters
UV stickers
tarpaulins
menu boards
digital & offset prints
signage packages
installation pricing
For the first time, Filipino entrepreneurs could check real-time pricing anytime, anywhere, without waiting for replies.
This wasn’t just innovation for technology’s sake — it was a continuation of the very spirit that started BesCost:
to make printing accessible for business owners.
“Our story is built on the businesses we’ve served.”
— Jim Lester Besinio
Founder, BesCost
When asked what it means to reach 10 years, Jim reflects with humility:
“The company grew because our customers grew. Every signage we installed, every menu board we printed — it was all for businesses trying to succeed. Our story is built on their stories.”
“From a small 15 sqm space to where we are now… I’m just grateful. We didn’t reach this milestone alone.”
